The Heads Of Bluebeard's Many Wives

This 3in by 4in zine is a companion to earrings that can be purchased through my store, but it also works as its own piece. The zine tells the story of Bluebeard tableaus, where girls in the 1800s and early 1900s would pretend to be the murdered wives of the titular villain in the fairy tale Bluebeard. The earrings are selected from an 1868 Harper's Bazaar depiction of one of the tableaus.

The zine is 26 pages including cover and is created using a Risograph printer. The illustrations are a mix of collage by me, and historical photos and engravings.
